How to: Draw a line on a form.
Solution:
In the Form Design view, click 'Line' from the Toolbox, select the location for the line on the form, and single-click.
1) If the Database window is not active, activate the Database window.
2) Click the 'Forms' tab in the Database window.

3) Select the desired form from the list box. (The selected form is highlighted.)
4) Click 'Design'. (The selected form appears in the Design view and the floating Toolbox appears.)
5) Click 'Line' from the Toolbox. (The button appears depressed.)

6) Do one of the following:
a) Click anywhere on the form to create a default size line.
b) Create a line of a desired length:
1] Select a location for the line with the mouse pointer on the from. (The cursor takes the shape of the line button.)
2] Press and hold down the mouse button at the selected location.
3] Drag the mouse to create a line of the desired length.
4] Release the mouse button.
NOTE 1: A horizontal, vertical line or diagonal line can be drawn.
NOTE 2: To create a straight line, press and hold down SHIFT while dragging the mouse button to the desired length.
7) (Optional) To edit the line, do one of the following:
a) To adjust the length or angle of the line:
1] Click on the line to select. (Handles appear on the line.)

2 Press and hold down SHIFT while pressing the arrow key for the desired direction. (The length of the line adjusts in the direction chosen.)
NOTE: The line orientation or length of the line will change depending on the arrow key selected.
b) To adjust the placement of the line:
1] Click to select the line. (Handles appear on the line.)
2] Press and hold down CONTROL while pressing an arrow key.
c) To adjust the width of the line:
1] Click to select the line. (Handles appear on the line.)
2] Click the arrow on the 'Border Width' button on the 'Formatting' toolbar. (A preview of the border widths appears.)

3] Select the desired width.
d) To edit the style of the line:
1] Click to select the line.
2] Select the 'View' menu and select 'Properties'. (The property sheet appears.)

4] Click in the 'Border Style' property box. (A down arrow appears.)
5] Click on the down arrow. (A drop-down list appears to the right.)
Select a border style.
6] Select the desired line style.
8) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Save' to save changes.
